Truk Lagoon

Gosei Maru

Compared to most of the other wrecks at the bottom of the lagoon, 270 ft Gosei is quite small. It is also quite shallow and allows for some longish bottom times. It is on its port side with stern in 30 to 10 ft and bow much deeper.

Highlights include the props and some china display closer to the stern. For me, the main highlight was the amount of holes steaming with blind shrimp/goby colonies in the sand right under the props - that's where I spent all my dive time. See my Truk Macro gallery for the pics.

Hazards - apparently is it possible to get inside the engine room and it could be tight, but I did not even try looking for entrance.
