Erie
wrecks. I could not find the length estimates, but Barge F was not a very long ship. She
is relatively intact, but there was not much of a profile left due to silt accumulation.
Her deck was about 6-8 ft off the lake bottom and the holds were still visible but filled
with silt. There were a number of items on the deck that still made her a worthwhile dive,
such as intact wheel mechanism and the wheel itself; the top of the rudder sticking out of
the silt, two anchors and a big windlass.
